White-Rodgers 80 Series 1F82-261
$60.00
Released September, 2008
The White-Rodgers 80 Series 1F82-261 heat pump programmable thermostat is a low-cost offering, the base model in White-Rodgers' 80 series. Like the closely related 1F81-261, the 1F82-261 is programmable for five days on end and then two individual days (5+1+1), and has a permanent memory that will retain all of your programming in the event of a sudden power loss.

The two thermostats also both have backlit displays. The cheaper price of the 1F82-261 can be explained by the fact that instead of the 1F81-261's multi-stage design, which allows you to set two rooms heated while two are cooled, the 1F82-261 has a more modest heat pump design, which can set two rooms heated while one is cooled. The 1F81-261 also gives you the choice between using hardwired and battery power, whereas the 1F82-261 allows you only to use hardwired. Like the entire 80 Series line of programmable thermostats, the White-Rodgers 80 Series 1F82-261 is made for use with 24 VAC systems.
