This is a step up from the 1F82-261's heat pump design (which allows only 1 heated/2 cooled), but is not at the level of the higher-priced 1F85-275 (which has a heat pump mode that allows 3 heated/2 cooled, as well as a multi-stage setting of 2 heated/2 cooled). You can set the 80 Series 1F81-261 for five days and then a pair of individual days (5+1+1). The 80 Series 1F81-261 also has a permanent memory that saves everything you have programmed in the event of a sudden power failure. The display of this thermostat is backlit, which makes it easy to read. You have the choice of powering this thermostat with either hardwired or battery power. The White-Rodgers 80 Series 1F81-261 programmable universal thermostat is made for use with 24 VAC systems.
