Weber Summit S-620

$1,900.00 Released December, 2006

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Heat distribution is very even across the six burners. Stainless steel components are welded, not bolted like many cheaper models. Entire body construction is stainless steel and does not show marks or charring very easily.

The Cons:Total heat output per burner is somewhat lower than can be found at this price point. Handle lights are not very practically useful.

The Weber Summit S-620 is a gas grill constructed from an enclosed cart with stainless steel doors and chrome plated cast-aluminum handles, a stainless steel shroud with a polished handle, and an accent-colored painted steel frame.

A change in pace from the Summit S-440, S-450, and S-470 models, the upgraded S-620 doesn’t contain a smoker burner, a rotisserie burner, or a sear burner, but it does feature 6 stainless steel burners that burn at up to 60,000 (versus 48,800) BTU per hour and an input flush-mounted side burner that burns at 12,000 BTU per hour. In addition, the Summit S-620 houses a 838 (versus <600) square inch cooking area including a 693 sq. in. primary cooking area and a 145 sq. in. warming-rack. Like its predecessors, however, the Summit S-620 does include a Snap-Jet Individual burner ignition system that lights the entire grill extremely fast, not to mention a Flavorizer bar that eliminates grease-fueled glare-ups by vaporizing fat and juices as soon as they hit the bars. The Summit S-620 also comes equipped with 2 Weber Grill-Out handle lights, six tool holders, a precision fuel gauge, 2 stainless steel work surfaces, 2 heavy-duty front locking casters, 2 heavy-duty back swivel casters, a 10-foot flexible hose, and even a Weber cookbook. The Weber Summit S-620 retails for $1899.99 and comes with a limited lifetime warranty that provides coverage for the castings and the shroud for up to 25 years.
