Singer CG-500 Commercial Grade

The Singer CG-500 Commercial Grade is a sewing machine built for reliable operation in a commercial environment. This is similar to the Singer CG-590 Commercial Grade, but has fewer stitch patterns and uses a flat bed design that doesn't support free-motion sewing.

They both use a 4-step buttonhole, however, and have a class 66 drop-in bobbin design. The motor itself is 60% stronger than most of the consumer models Singer makes, allowing it to deliver consistent and controlled thread feeds at up to 1100 stitches per minute. This unit has a stainless steel bed plate to provide a sturdy and smooth surface to work on, and 5 basic stitch patterns designed to fasten zippers and do blindstitch hem work as well as sturdy seams.
