Singer 7442

The Singer 7442 is a sewing machine built to be easy to set up and start using. This is similar to the Singer 7412 in build and stitch pattern selection but uses a different threading system. A top drop-in bobbin system is used with an automatic tensioning system to balance thread tension, keeping it from getting too tight or too loose.

2 fully automatic 1-step buttonholes are also included for easy and secure button fastenings. In other ways the two machines are similar, including the use of a Class 15J bobbin and an LED light stitch pattern selector. A total of 30 stitch patterns are available that can all be adjusted for length and width, and the heavy duty metal frame construction of the machine helps to avoid skipped stitches. A number of standard accessories are included, including a replaceable foot for zippers, satin stitching, blind hem, and buttonholes. As seen in almost all Singer sewing machines, a screwdriver and foot pedal are also included.
