The ShamWOW was originally marketed and sold on television infomercials in the summer of 2007 and has since been more widely adopted and available. The original ShamWOW set includes 2 large and 2 mini ShamWOW towels an additional second set (8 ShamWOWs total) and a unique ShamWOW mop; designed out of the same ShamWOW absorbent materials.
The ShamWOW includes additional features such as a 10 year warranty as advertised on the official site, a plethora of demonstrations and tutorial videos, and a long list of included accessories depending on where the product is purchased (several different info-mercials include varying products as a bonus for purchasing the ShamWOW).
It is worth noting the original infomercial sponsor Vince Shlomi (also known as Vince Offer) additionally advertised a product known as the "Slap-chop"; which is a mini blender/ chopping device.
Billy Mays, a well-renowned infomercial salesman, also advertised a similiar product known as the "Zorbeez" which was released two years prior to the ShamWOW and works in a very similiar fashion to absorb spills and messes. Popular Mechanics compared the two products and declared ShamWOW the more effective winner.
