The Effective Cord Reel Iron is also a different color (gray as opposed to blue), and has a slightly lower wattage (1500 as opposed to 1600). Besides these differences, the Effective Iron and Effective Cord Reel Iron are the same. The AIRGLIDE stainless steel soleplate of these irons helps you to glide smoothly and evenly over a garment, and is easy to clean. The Auto Steam feature of the Effective Iron and Effective Cord Reel Iron allows you to match steam output to soleplate temperature. Both irons have a 3-way smart auto off feature, which automatically turns the iron off if it has been standing for eight minutes, or if it has been sitting tipped over for thirty seconds. Both the Rowenta Effective Iron and the Rowenta Effective Cord Reel Iron have a self clean system.
