Rowenta Advancer Iron

$120.00 Released June, 2009

Product Shot 1The Rowenta Advancer Iron is a higher mid-priced household iron. Rowenta promotes the Advancer as being designed around the three functions main functions of an iron: soleplate, heat and steam. The 400 platinum anti-scratch soleplate of this iron has four hundred and sixty three microholes and a precision tip (specs shared with the closely related Rowenta Focus Iron), which helps to evenly distribute steam for a consistently pressed garment.

The Thermo Control system (another feature shared with the Focus Iron) uses an electronic sensor that keeps up a steady temperature in the soleplate. There are LED control signals on the Advancer Iron to let you know the state of the iron's temperature: red for too hot, yellow for too cold and green when you have the correct temperature. The Steam Advance system of the Advancer Iron has two settings: Classic and High Pressure Steam. Rowenta promotes the Steam Advance system as being able to take care of all fabric types. The Focus Iron does not have the LED controls or Steam Advance system. Both the Rowenta Advancer Iron and Rowenta Focus Iron have a vertical steam feature, which allows you to use it upright. This is helpful for ironing drapes.
