Frame
Solid hardwood frame for durability. Corner blocks are triangular wooden braces of laminated veneer attached to the underparts of the frame that add additional support. Laminated veneer is stronger than solid wood in the corner blocking process.Frames are also glued and stapled for additional strength.
Legs
Tapered square hardwood legs are screwed to the frame and are not removable.
Springs
Sinuous springs are high-gauge steel "S"-shaped bands that are stretched across the frames from front to back and clipped into place. They provide a solid and comfortable seat base and provide back support.
Cushions
Seat cushion is a high-resiliency 5-inch foam core wrapped with polyester batting. Tight back (no cushion) has thick padding attached to frame.
