Steam strength can be adjusted in medium, high and push-button options to prevent the damaging of delicate materials, with dry ironing also available. A "Spray Mist" function allows users to add cool water for supplementing especially pronounced wrinkle areas, while "Vertical Steam" capabilities make for board-free ironing. "Stay Clean" vents helps to keep the stainless steel soleplate clean by reducing calcium and sediment levels, and is supplemented by the appliance's two-in-one "Jet-Of-Steam/Self-Cleaning" feature that provides individual steam bursts while cleansing the interior of the iron. The NI-L70SR also includes a removable water tank with minimum and maximum indicator lines for quick and easy refilling, and an anti-drip internal seal that prevents water spotting on ironed garments. Automatic shut-off is included for added safety, with a heat-resistant carrying case allowing and automatically retractable cord system allowing for a timely pack-up after ironing is completed.
