LG LDC22720

$1,399.00 Released January, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Well-designed interior--spacious with plenty of room for larger items. Clean, sleek visual aesthetic that looks great in modern kitchens. Built-in wheels on the bottom work well, make moving the unit very easy.

The Cons:High pitched whine when the compressor is running - I was told this is "normal operating sound". Ice maker is very loud when in use. Inconsistent performance--there are many reports of major components breaking after only a year of use.

The LG LDC22720 is a 22.4 cu.ft. capacity refrigerator with a bottom freezer design that pulls out like a drawer for easier access to the fridge contents.  The fridge features an automatic ice maker complete with an IcePlus accelerated freezing function as well as an upfront digital control panel for adjusting the temperature and controlling the fridge functions.

It is designed with contour doors and commercial-style handles and utilizes multi-air flow cooling for fast, reliable cooling of both components.  The LDC22720 offers a variety of storage options including a snack bin, slide-out freezer drawers, spillproof glass shelves, and gallon-sized door bins.  It also includes two humidity crispers to keep foods like fruit and vegetables fresh for longer.  The fridge is Energy Star compliant and is available in a white, titanium, or stainless steel finish.  The main difference between the LDC22720 and LG's LBC22520 is that the LDC22720 is designed with a bottom pull-out drawer freezer while the LBC22520 has a bottom swing freezer door.

jr: #lg_ldc22720 Do not buy this refridgerator!! All the electronic components went out after 17 months of normal wear. it costs $500 to repair!! LG acted like they would consider paying even though it was out of warrenty, then called back to reject their own offer, adding an additional four days to our service wait with the only factory authorized repair firm in the area. I don't understand why they call themselves LG Electronics if they cannot master the electronics of their own products! Oct 25, 11
