LED Blow on/off Candle

$10.00

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Safer than real candles. Turns off and on when you blow on it. Waxy coating makes it more realistic.

The Cons:Candles are obviously fake when you get close enough. Don't match the aroma of real candles.

This 'candle' is actually an LED light that simulates the feel of candlelight through a flickering effect. The candle body is made from plastic but is covered with a waxy coating to give it more of a realistic candle-like feel.

Product Shot 2 These candles are similar to the Flameless Wax Candle with one major difference - they actually turn off when you blow on them. By responding to the puff of air caused by blowing on them, the LED turns off and conversely, also turns on when you blow on it in the off state. They have a master switch on the bottom to enable this functionality. The candles run on 2 AA batteries that can last up to 300 hours. Dimensions: diameter - 3 inches, height - 4, 5 or 6 inches.

KoKoMo: #led_blow_on_off_candle 7. The current craze for candles is responsible for a huge increase in home fires in the last few years.

8. Burning candles create smoke, and aren't good for your lungs, especially if you are an asthmatic.

9. Omar is an attention-starved idiot. Jul 22, 08

shavenwarthog: #led_blow_on_off_candle You can get a similar item at the 99c Store here in CA. It's a little disc with flickering flame-yellow LED, inside a 6" paper globe. It's amazing, fun, and a fantastic deal for 99c. May 21, 08

Erik: #led_blow_on_off_candle I don't think that's the next logical point in the argument. Let's get back on track. Candles = dangerous. LED candles = the future. QED Aug 30, 07

Erik: #led_blow_on_off_candle What ain't broke? Read this first. Candles can be dangerous if left unattended. I had a candle ruin one of my speaker grills because I stupidly had one placed on top of my speaker and the wax dripped down. I like this electric candle. Maybe they should add scent as well. There was a reason Edison invented a light bulb. Aug 30, 07

Omar: #led_blow_on_off_candle Well you know what. Candles have served people well for thousands of years, why fix what aint broke! And ruin the look of the candle? I think the tackiness of the LED does enough on its own. Aug 30, 07

Amanie: #led_blow_on_off_candle Or how about: 3. pets and kids shouldn't be around an open flame, 4. no wax drippings, 5. no matches, 6. no 'soot' to ruin the look of the candle Aug 30, 07

Omar: #led_blow_on_off_candle Why would anyone want this over a real candle? I can think of 2 reasons: 1. they're allergic to wax, or 2: they've been previously convicted of arson and aren't allowed matches in their jail cell. Aug 30, 07
