IKEA Hopen Bed

$179.99 Released January, 2011

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Easy to follow instructions and simple assembly. Stylish contemporary design. Very appealing price point.

The Cons:Bed constructed from particleboard and ABS plastic. not the most quality of materials. Slats have to be purchased separately.

The IKEA Hopen bed is a mid-cost bed frame made up of a combination of particle board, foil and ABS plastic. Similar in design to the equally priced Malm Bed, it is offered in Full, Queen and King sizes and comes in a black-brown finish.

Product Shot 2 This bed frame also offers adjustable bed sides allowing for mattresses of different heights to be compatible with the frame. It also utilizes IKEA's standard slated bed base which eliminates the need for a box spring, but this slatted base does not come with the frame and needs to be purchased separately.
