Honeywell TL8100 Hydronic Thermostat
$55.00
Released May, 2009
The Pros:Installation is very simple, can be handled by anyone comfortable with plyers and a screw driver. Display is easy to read in any light. Doesn't make any noise apart from a soft click when it switches.
The Cons:Heat only, can't affect your air conditioning. Not many options when setting temperature for certain periods. Won't work in complicated 3-wired zoned/relayed systems.
The Honeywell TL8100 Hydronic Thermostat is an entry-level, 7-day programmable thermostat. It offers basic temperature control options only (no humidity, filtration, etc.), but it provides +/- 1-degree Fahrenheit precision to help users save up to 10% on their heating bills.

Additional features include an at-a-glance heating indicator, a low battery indicator, and an early start function that ensures the programmed temperature is reach by a programmed time. Signature though is the unit’s flexibility, as it also works with gas, oil and some electric heating or hot air systems. Plus the unit automatically actives its hydronic components once every day to prevent system seizures.
