The backlit display is viewable in low lighting conditions, and is operated with simple button controls on the side and bottom. Smart Response Technology adjusts the pre-heating and pre-cooling to ensure comfort at the set times. This thermostat is compatible with basic heating and cooling as well as some, but not all, heat pumps. Heat pumps with back-up heat, multi-stage heating/cooling systems, and electric baseboard heat are not compatible.
