Product Shot 1The Honeywell RTH230B is a low-cost digital thermostat built to be installed by the homeowner. This is similar to the Honeywell RTH2300B, but the display is not backlit. Some functions have been added, including an Early Start Function to ensure that target temperatures are reached at scheduled times and a reminder to change the filter when needed.

The design is slim and compact, and features a simplified interface with a slightly larger display to show the time. Programming can be input for separate schedules on weekdays and weekends, and the days can be divided into 4 periods to save energy when extra heating or cooling is not required. This thermostat works with heating and cooling systems in general, but is not compatible with heat pump systems or electric baseboard heat.
