This model's main feature is that its top surface has a floating hinge that can be locked into place to create a fixed distance between food and the grill, which makes broiling toppings more convenient. Note that many standard Foreman models have a floating hinge but not a lock. This model also features three non-stick grill coatings, more than the standard two. The plates and drip trays can be removed for cleaning, and the top surface and handle remain cool during cooking for safety.
