GE JB700
$850.00
Released January, 2007
The Pros:Attractive design in 3 finishes, uses clearly defined edges for a nice look, compliments any kitchen decor. Non-stick surfaces are a breeze to clean, everything wipes right off, no small areas that need to be reached into. Burners can output a great deal of heat if needed.
The Cons:Scratches accumulate rather quickly, especially with cast iron or steel pots. The storage drawer under the oven is very small, hard to fit much in there. The temperature control isn't very precise, need to keep a careful eye on things.
The GE JB700 (or JB700#N##) is a free-standing electric range which falls in the middle of those offered by General Electric. This is not to be confused with the GE JB700D (or JB700#D##), which is a lower model oven that is only available at Lowe's.
