To reduce the heat produced by the LED's the entire head of the flashlight is a heat sink. The flashlight uses 15 CR123 batteries (batteries are included). The batteries will last 4-6 hours depending on the mode you use. You can have the flashlight operate at 33% or 100% intensity. The flashlight is fire resistant, impact resistant, and waterproof up to 20ft. This flashlight is meant for serious recreational users only.
