emWave Biofeedback Stress Reliever

There are some products out there that seem really hokey. Usually these fall into the category of "mood-altering" or "germ-free", and these usually don't gain much attention from the market because most consumers are too smart for that.

The emWave stress reliever might immediately fall into that category, but upon further inspection, the thing might actually work.

Using electro-magnetic waves through the thumb pad, it detects the state of your stress level. As you perform various calm-down techniques (such as deep breathing, counting to 10, etc.) the blinking lights tell you if you're actually calming down or not, or if what you're doing isn't helping. For people that are able to calm themselves down naturally, without the help of any feedback, this thing doesn't make sense. But for people that have trouble returning to a reasonable coherence level, this might help  by providing a direct response to your current state. So is it hokey? Maybe, but it might also be worth a try
