The EOP2046 features a unique Panini or sandwich press that can be controlled via an exterior handle; the user presses a top contact grill element down onto the desired food using the aforementioned handle which will produce pressed foods and grill marks. The EOP2046 also features a full function toaster oven with a large interior capacity which DeLonghi boldly claims would fit a 12 inch pizza and 6 slices of toast.
The DeLonghi EOP2046 toaster oven includes multiple cooking modes along with the usual bake; additional modes include broil, toast, slow bake, panini and keep warm. DeLonghi additionally claims the EOP2046 toaster oven is "easy to clean" thanks to a removable crumb tray and non-stick grill plate and manufactured interior. The EOP2046 comes bundled with additional accessories such as a bake pan, a wire rack, a panini grill plate, a panini press wire rack, and a color recipe book.
