The Cuisinart PowerEdge 700 CBT-700 is an higher-level budget home blender. It is mostly designed for making smoothies and crushing ice. The pre-programmed smoothie function will create a smoothie in less than thirty seconds after inserting the ingredients into the blender.

  For other blending, there is a three-minute count-up timer that beeps when a three minute blend is finished. The base is made of die-cast metal and the buttons are backlit. The CBT-700 lacks the pulse function built into the CBT-1000, Cuisinart's next highest blender, and is less powerful.
