Black & Decker The Classic Iron

The Classic Iron is a vintage-style steam iron from Black & Decker that offers an alternative to the other models in the company's digital household product line. Utilizing a "classic" design without a digital display, this model uses a rotating slider to designate temperature range and fabric type.

Once a guide is selected, the appliance will adjust itself until the "SmarTemp" indicator light turns on to let the user know that the iron temperature matches that of the chosen setting. An aluminum soleplate contributes to the lightweight nature of the Classic Iron, providing a smooth and steady glide for wrinkle-free fabrics. Steam is controlled via a simple on/off switch, with a three-way shutoff mechanism providing added safety when the iron is placed on its heel rest, side or soleplate. An anti-drip design helps to minimize the likelihood of water spots on clothing, and a pivoting cord design allows for an unobstructed experience for access to all areas of a garment. In addition, this model is equipped with a button groove in the tip of the soleplate for reaching tough-to-access areas around buttons and zippers.
