The Digital Evolution Iron is a high-quality steam iron from Black & Decker that offers a step-up from the company's Digital Advantage Iron model. Combining elements of the company's best standard and digital irons, this model features "Smart Steam" temperature-regulated steam technology for maximum wrinkle treatment as well as a gentler handling of fabrics that are more delicate.

"Steam Surge" technology helps to provide a functional and well-balanced amount of steam to a given garment, while "Spray Mist" technology allows for a focused amount of unheated water to go where need be. The soleplate of the Digital Evolution is made of stainless steel, promoting long-time use by minimizing mineral deposit build-up and corrosion. Anti-drip and "Auto Clean" systems further the longevity of the iron by preventing internal and external wear, while also preventing water spots from appearing on the user's clothing. Controlled via a small digital display at the top of the product, standard temperature and fabric settings are supplemented by a vertical steam system that allows for non-ironing board treatments. A 3-way shut-off system is also in place to prevent potential accidents, triggering a standby mode when the iron is placed on its front, side or base.
